The first (hybrid) meeting of the AOWM was held under the auspices of ICTS, Bangalore, during April 24-28, 2023. A primary goal of this meeting was to decide the future course of academic activities in these regions. There were also a number of lectures by distinguished as well as young promising women mathematicians. 

Further, interactive sessions were held in hybrid mode with women students and postdocs from all over the world to enlighten them on various career opportunities in research, and the means and support systems available to overcome any challenges they might meet in their pursuits.
