The AOWM Workshop is planned to be a biennial event. The inaugural workshop was conducted at ICTS, India, in April 2023. The second was held in Auckland, New Zealand, in December 2024. The third AOWM Workshop will be held at Kavli Institute of the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe, Japan in March 2026.

The first (hybrid) meeting of the AOWM was held under the auspices of ICTS, Bangalore, during April 24-28, 2023. A primary goal of this meeting was to decide the future course of academic activities in these regions. There were also a number of lectures by distinguished as well as young promising women mathematicians.
